奖
To promote the students' interest and love of 历史, α Theta has established a number of prizes and grants for its members. Since 1994, α Theta's award program has grown to over $130,000. See below for applications deadlines & 程序.

Student Prize in World 历史 (2000), $200, for the best undergraduate world history paper composed during the academic 所述年份. Paper to be no longer than 25 type-written, double-spaced pages 的文本. Requires letter from faculty who assigned the paper testifying to the year in which it was written.

Dr. 林恩W. 特纳奖 for the best paper submitted by an undergraduate student member of the Society, in 200美元的金额.

Founder's Paper Prize Awards, 4 prizes, each in the amount of $150, awarded to either undergraduate or graduate 学生会员.
Papers submitted in this competition may encompass a wide variety of Historical subjects. Each paper must be recommended by the chapter Faculty Advisor or Chair of the 历史 Department for its high scholarly quality. A national committee determines the winners. All six award-winning papers are reviewed by the Editor of The Historian for potential publication in The Historian. - 杰拉尔德·D. Nash Student 历史 Journal Prize Award A prize of $500 and a runner-up prize of $100 will be awarded to members in each of two competition categories: Chapters at schools with fewer than 150 历史 majors; Chapters at schools with 150 or more majors 在历史上
α Theta 实习
The α Theta Intern Program provides almost $100,000 to support interns at the offices of The Historian, the Book Review Editor, and three other historical journals.

Graduate Scholarship 奖助金 to 学生会员 entering graduate school for the first time for work leading to a Master's Degree 在历史上:
- A. F. Zimmerman Scholarship Award, $1250

- Two additional grants, $750 each

Doctoral Scholarship 奖助金 for advanced study by graduate 学生会员 who are working on a PhD 在历史上 and who have passed general examinations (no later than year of application):
- α Theta Scholarship Award, $1000, for completion of a Ph.D. 在历史上
- John Pine Memorial Scholarship Award, $1000, for advanced graduate study
- Two additional grants, $750 each,
- α Theta Westerners International Award The Westerners International Association awards The α Theta Award of $500 for the best doctoral dissertation in Western 历史 to a graduate student member at the α Theta luncheon during the Western 历史 Association annual meeting.
- 本E. Proctor Southwest Social Science Award This award provides $1,000 each for nine awards:
- Three in United States 历史
- Three in European 历史
- Three in Latin American/World 历史
